Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy applies to every app, game, browser extension, and tool published by Nguyen Hoang (“I”, “me”) on the Apple App Store, Google Play, the Chrome Web Store, or anywhere else, unless that app ships its own policy. “Apps” below means all of them collectively.
These are side projects built by one person. I have no interest in your data beyond what is needed to make the app work. The short version: I do not sell personal data, I do not build advertising profiles, and I collect as little as I can get away with.
What I collect#
The exact data depends on the app, but it falls into these categories.
Data you enter into the app. Notes, scores, settings, preferences, and anything else you type or create. By default this stays on your device. If an app offers cloud sync or backup, that data is stored with the provider named in the app (for example iCloud or Google Drive) under your own account, and I cannot read it.
Account information. Some apps let you sign in, usually through Sign in with Apple or Google. In that case I receive the identifier and, if you allow it, the name and email address the provider shares. I use it only to identify your account.
Usage and diagnostic data. Some apps use an analytics or crash-reporting service to tell me which features are used and why the app crashed. This covers things like device model, operating system version, app version, country, and anonymised event names. It does not include the content you create.
Purchase data. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. I receive a receipt confirming the purchase, not your payment details.
Permissions. An app may ask for camera, microphone, photo library, location, notifications, or similar permissions. These are requested only when a feature needs them, and the data is used only for that feature. You can revoke any permission in your device settings.
What I do not collect#
- I do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
- I do not track you across other apps or websites.
- I do not buy data about you from third parties.
- I do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the age of consent in your country). If you believe a child has given me personal data, contact me and I will delete it.
How data is used#
- To run the app and provide the features you asked for.
- To restore purchases and sync your data across your own devices.
- To find and fix bugs.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features matter so I know what to build next.
- To answer you when you contact me.
Third-party services#
Depending on the app, one or more of these services may process data on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy, and I use them under their standard terms.
- Apple (App Store, iCloud, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, TestFlight)
- Google (Google Play, Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Google Analytics)
- Crash reporting and analytics such as Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, or TelemetryDeck
- Backend hosting such as Supabase, Cloudflare, or Vercel, for apps that need a server
- Advertising networks such as Google AdMob, only in apps that show ads. Where ads are shown, the app will say so in its store listing, and you can opt out of personalised ads through your device settings.
If a specific app uses a service not listed here, its store listing or in-app settings will say so.
Data retention#
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app. Account and server-side data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.
Security#
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data stored on servers is held by the providers listed above using their standard security controls. No system is perfectly secure, and I cannot promise otherwise, but I follow reasonable practice for the scale of these projects.
Your rights#
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is processed. To exercise any of these, email me at the address below. If an app has an in-app “Delete account” option, that is the fastest route.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal basis for processing is performance of the contract (providing the app you installed) and, for analytics, my legitimate interest in keeping the app working. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International transfers#
I am based in Vietnam. The services above may process data in the United States, the European Union, or other regions. Where required, those providers use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Changes to this policy#
When something material changes, I will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, I will also mention it in the app or its release notes. Continued use of an app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
